2007 - 2008 Dinner /
Lecture Series
This was the fifth season for the superb
Cathedral Arts Dinner/Lecture Series. The following was the slate for
the season.

September 24th,
2007 - Bishop John Chapman, speaking on The Place of Cathedrals in
our Modern World.

February 11th,
2008 - Robert Fowler,
speaking on New Economic Partnership for African Development.
Robert Fowler has had a distinguished career as a Canadian
diplomat and public servant. In addition to having served as
Canada's Ambassador to the United Nations (1995-2000) and to Italy
(2000-2006), he also served as foreign policy advisor to three Prime
Ministers. He was also the Deputy Minister of National Defence
(1989-1995) and the Prime Minister's Personal Representative for the
G8 Summit and for Africa.

March 10th, 2008 -
Peter Herrndorf, speaking on The National Arts Centre as a National
Institution: Its Role in the Enrichment of Canadian Culture,
and its Continuing Importance for Canada's Youth.
Peter Herrndorf is the
President and CEO of the National Arts Centre. Among many other
posts, he has served as Chairman and CEO of TVOntario, Chairman of
the Stratford Festival and Chairman of the Canadian Museum of
Civilization. Mr. Herrndorf is currently on the Board of the CBC,
and on the Board of Governors of the University of Ottawa. He is an
Officer of the Order of Canada.
